Me and my mate are being haunted by a spirit of an old abandoned house. What do I do?

sounds like to me you are attracted to the house, and would like very much to be able to own it and renovate it and you have worries someone else may have already started, if it is truly abandoned I don't know what it would hurt to poke around just be careful for any loose floorboards or other things that may be falling apart.
