I think minorities history are well preserved for anyone who wants to search for them. There are societies and libraries and colleges ands museums all over which have preserved the heritage of various ethnics. Also your heritage does not make you naked and defenseless before the world. Look at Oprah or Tiger Woods. You can research your history and change your name to a popular name of that era. And you can flick your finger at your shoulder and knock that chip off any time.
